The Many Uses For Blown Glass Vases
Discover ways to use your blown glass vases around your home. These vases are truly beautiful and many are very unique. You don't want to just keep them in your cupboard out of sight, you will want them to be on display to add to the decor of your home. Whether glass vases are blown by mouth or using another method, these types of vessels can really be beautiful and unique. You might have clear or colored vases, tall or short vases, it doesn't matter. There are all sorts of ways you can use glass vases, bowls, and bottles around the home.
Of course you can use them to display flowers, which is the first thing most people think of doing when they see a blown vase made of art glass. However, most people don't have flowers in their homes very often, so they end up storing these products out of sight. It is much nicer to have them on display. Besides using them for flowers, you can also take containers made from blown glass and use them to create beautiful centerpieces to suit the season. This can involve filling them with dried grasses in the autumn, with pine boughs and pine cones in the winter, or with fruit in the summer if the vase has a wide mouth. These beautiful works of art can also just be displayed on tables or shelves. They look particularly nice when they are placed near windows so that the light shines through them. If you have a collection you can even display them in a display case, which might help to limit the need for dusting them quite so often. Depending on the design, you can also turn some of these types of blown glass vases into lamps, similar to hurricane lamps in design. You can put a votive candle inside, or one of those battery powered votive lights so you don't have to worry about the flame. This is nice if you want to have a romantic dinner and don't want to just use boring old candles in regular candle holders. As you can see, there is no reason to keep those wonderful blown glass vases you purchased at a design studio or art gallery hidden out of sight, there are all sorts of ways to incorporate them into the decorating scheme of your home.
